Reliable List of Fat Burning Foods
I gathered my list of fat burning foods during more than 10 years and it not only helps to flatten your abdominal area but also helps to burn fat from you overall body.
So why don’t, together with exercises, start eating fat burning foods? This will make you lean quicker and easier.
I found that the best fat burning foods are foods rich in protein and fiber. You can easily have good looking abs if you eat from the following list:

Nuts
Nuts are very good fat burning food. They are rich in fat, but this fat is good for you, because your body use it to syntheses hormones and to absorb vitamins like A, E, K etc. Most of the people think that they have to cut fat from all meals, but the truth is that you need fat to sustain life. But you need only the right kind of fat – usually fat found in plants is good fat.
Nuts contain also fiber, protein, vitamins and minerals.
Small amount of nuts is enough to replace one of your snacks during the day.
Most of the nuts contain good/significant amount of potassium, which decreases risk of stroke and osteoporosis.
Rumi’s tip: I always have 2 oz (50 grams) of nuts in my purse and if it seems that I will miss one of my daily meals – I just eat these nuts and I am full, no cravings, and nuts are healthy food.
Warning: If you eat more than 4 oz (100 grams) nuts in one meal it is not healthy and not fat burning food. Always remember to eat small amount of every kind of food.
Oatmeal
Oatmeal became famous because of studies that showed it can lower blood cholesterol. Oatmeal is rich in fiber and complex carbohydrates, this is the reason many athletes and weight trainers to include it in their nutrition. Oatmeal slow digestion and this is the reason when you eat it you have stable blood-glucose levels.
All of my friends don’t like the taste of oatmeal, but this is because they don’t know how to prepare it. The best kind of oatmeal is plain, no flavor, no sugar, and no any other additives. Why? Because all additives are high in calories and in the most cases not healthy. There is instant kind of oatmeal, I don’t like this, because it is already process, and it is healthier to eat as possible unprocessed food.
Rumi’s oatmeal recipe: Put 6 spoons of oatmeal (plain kind, in a bowl, add some Greek cheese (not so much), pour with boiling water, cover the bowl for 5 minutes and eat. Mmm delicious! It has a taste of pasta with cheese. Try this recipe and send me a letter!
Olive oil
Olive oil is like a magic for your body. You need fat to sustain life, but you need only good fat. Olive oil lower you cholesterol levels, gives you necessary fat for hormones synthesis and vitamins absorption. The benefit of olive oil is its unsaturated fat percentage – app. 70%.
There are different types of olive oil – always look for a label “Extra Virgin Oil”. Extra virgin means it is first time squeezed olive oil. Do you know that after the first olive squeezing, they squeeze them for second time?
Rumi’s way to put olive oil in salad: cut parsley and green onion, put some salt, 2 spoons of balsamic vinegar and 2 spoons of olive oil, stir and leave it for 2 minutes. At the meantime cut 2 big, organic tomatoes and add them to parsley and onion. Stir again and eat. I can eat this every day!
Vegetables
Vegetables are very good food if you want to lose weight. They are rich in vitamins, minerals and fibers. Fresh vegetables have to be your serving every day. Fibers in vegetables help for constipation problems and cravings.
Rumi’s tip: Many diets recommend not eating after 6 p.m. If you can’t follow this rule, than try to eat only vegetables after 6 p.m. – why not prepare a big delicious salad and stop your cravings?
Eggs
Eggs are rich in protein and vitamins. There is very long tale that says you can find all vitamins in egg yolk. Some people believe that egg yolks decrease cholesterol levels, but in my opinion it is not so bad. For example I eat eggs 2 times per week
.
Anyway, if you want eat only egg whites – they are very high in protein. Many weight lifters use egg protein to build muscles.
Meat
Lean meat is rich in protein. One of the easiest diets is to eat small amount of meat 5 times per day together with fresh salads. Baked meat is better than fried.
Fish
Fish is also rich in protein. Fish oil is famous because of omega-3 fatty acids in it. Omega-3 fatty acids can not be made in your body and you have to eat them with the food. They are important for immune system, blood pressure regulation and some recent studies shows they can influence violence.
Eat baked fish instead of fried.
Dairy Products
Plain yogurt and milk can be one of your daily meals, because they give you Calcium, protein and carbs in good proportion. Calcium gives strength to your bones and it is proven that it is necessary ingredient in every diet. People who take enough Calcium lose more weight than people who don’t.
Low fat or no low fat? Natural milk and yoghurt have fat around 3%. My understanding is that natural food is better than processed. Normal fat yoghurt and milk will not hurt your diet if you eat not more than a pound (500 grams) per day. For example 500 grams yoghurt with 3% fat is total 15 grams fat – this can’t make you fat.

Dear Sir/Madam,
I came across your website through Google.com. I am quite interested to make my Stomach as six pack. Right now, I have some Belly, and really want to reduce it. I used to do abs for that. But, regarding the Diet, I am so confused. I am Vegetarian Person. So, Kindly suggest me the appropriate Diet Food for my health, that would reduced my Calories. Also Suggest some Abs Exercise which could give work-out to my Stomach and part of the body.

Per your comments to loosing weights, since you are vegetarrien here is tip that will losse a lot of weight, I went to Yga camp in india in gujrat at our gurus ashram.
Daily routine there was in the morning we would drink 1 glass of lemmon drink (i fifth lemmon juice fill rest of glass with warm water and )every morning then do yga excercise
Lemmon juice will remove all toxins from your body and unwanted fats.
2) avoid eating processed foods like whole wheat breads they contain corn syrups & sweetners, eat roti made at home with only olive oil or butter. (avoild all margerines and butter like products avoid all hydrogenated oil products.
All lentills and beans are good, you can consume soya beans or soya wadies (only plain ones, do not buy soya products like justlike ground or soya processed products that look like meatless products because they contain harmfull substances and chemicals that that are not good for your liver
Eat fresh vegetables (indian recepies are abundant and nutiricious, how ever modifiy them so you bake instead of frying, use less oil and use olive oils that that cold pressed oils and hydrogeneated process. Partially cook vegetable –do not cook them completely/..spinach is best food with onions, okra, karela (withour sugar) if you want sweeten with tomatoes, Moog dal is best lentil and is best for healing during illness
I make moog with lots of ginger, black pepper, tomatoes and onion soup when i feel slight bug coming and increase my Vitamin C by adding more fruit juices (freshly made at home) not the one bough from grocery stores…..
In short I have lost my confidence with processed foods and FDA who dosent care about what you consume….reading labels is become very important.
If you follow these steps and DO NOT OVER EAT eat a moderate meals and drink lots of water and never eat meal after 7.00 pm and sleep with light snack or fruits.
Add fruits and nuts in your salads and also eatwith your meals . avoid sugary sweets
you can indulge with great control once in a while in moderation.
